An inspiring half hour documentary about Sweet Louise aired on TV3 at 11am on Saturday 20 June 2009. As part of the Open Door series, the documentary outlined the work and services of the organisation through the eyes of the Sweet Louise team and featured comments and thoughts from some of the women who have experienced Sweet Louise's services and fellowship. Feedback from those who watched the feature has been excellent.

Produced by Morningside Productions in association with NZ On Air and TV3, the Open Door series profiles groups and individuals working within our communities who often go unnoticed and yet show enormous commitment to social, environmental and other issues. "For the first time we have a record of what it is we do and the impact it has on the lives of these women," said Sweet Louise Executive Director Jennifer Clark. "It's very inspiring and we're immensely grateful for the courage and generosity of the women who appear in the documentary, for ‘opening the door' and letting us see inside their lives."

Sweet Louise members Barbara and Rhyanne (pictured) were happy to appear in the documentary. "It's so nice being amongst other women that you don't have to explain things to - they understand," said Barbara and Rhyanne agreed. "I've been around women who are coping with this illness and they're getting on with it, doing lots of things and really enjoying themselves," said Rhyanne, "and that's excellent to be around."
