We celebrate the lives of our Sweet Louise Members - the hope, courage and joy of life they show us every day, their spirit that inspires us to bring our Sweet Louise community to more women throughout New Zealand. We invite you to join us for Sweet September, Sweet Exchange and host your own Sweet Exchange special occasion to raise funds for the ongoing delivery of Sweet Louise support and services. The concept is simple. Sweet September, Sweet Exchange is a fun and easy way to host an occasion for sharing friendship, good times and exchanging consumables to raise funds for Sweet Louise. The host invites friends, families and colleagues to enjoy an Exchange occasion... perhaps a Sweet Tea morning tea - guests provide a donation to attend - or a fabulous Sweet Attire where guests bring along clothes, jewellery and accessories to be exchanged for a donation to Sweet Louise. Lunchbox Productions donates show tickets to Sweet Louise  Sweet Louise Members were the lucky recipients of tickets to two wonderful shows in July and August (2010) kindly donated to Sweet Louise by Lunchbox Productions. Members were invited to attend productions of both Swan Lake On Ice (Wellington and Auckland) and Grease (Auckland) and to bring along family members, friends or supporters too. All Members and their guests thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful performances. Sweet Louise Member Kam is pictured at left with her husband Kwok and Senior Support Coordinator Sinda Hall at the Auckland performance of Swan Lake On Ice. "Sincere thanks for your generosity in providing tickets for the Swan Lake on Ice performance. Your kindness has provided a much appreciated glorious treat. The music, the spectacular ice skating and colourful costumes will long be remembered. Certainly a great performance to enchant and lift one's spirits." (a Sweet Louise Member). Lunchbox Productions has donated tickets to Sweet Louise in the past (Cinderella On Ice, We Will Rock You) and their ongoing support and kindness is appreciated and much valued by the Sweet Louise Team and Members alike. New Zealand Textiles Fishing Competition Raises over $3,000!  The inaugural NZ Textiles fishing competition was organised by Brett Fleetwood and took place in the Hauraki Gulf on Friday 12th March 2010. After months of glorious weather, the day dawned with high winds and threats of rain. Over 100 fishermen and women braved the 25 knot winds and competed for the top prizes of 2 beautiful trophies. The sponsors had been very generous and donated many other prizes ranging from fishing rods and accessories to beach towels. The competition concluded late in the afternoon, and following the prize giving on the beautiful island of Motuihe, there was a wonderful meal. The event was a great success, fun for the participants and over $3000 was raised for Sweet Louise. We wish to extend a huge 'thank you!' to all of those who organised and participated in the competition. The kind donation from NZ Textiles will go a long way towards supporting our work for women living with secondary breast cancer. Reiki NZ Inc. held a 'New Spirit Festival' earlier in the year during which they offered attendants a Reiki session in return for a donation to Sweet Louise. They raised $575 !
